La belle Epoque exhibition at the Alliance francaise in Macau
I will have an exhibition at the Alliance francaise from March 1st till March 22nd 2008.
The opening ceremony will be at 7pm on Saturday 1st March ( cocktails etc...).
This exhibition will focus on the recent paintings I have done based on my great-grandfather-in-law's photos, which he took while travelling around Europe in the late 19th / early 20th century.
I discovered these photos a couple of years ago in my husband's house in France. They had been forgotten somewhere in the attic.
To view these photos, which are on glass, you need a special machine called a verascope. With an amazing technic for that time, you can see the photos in 3D.
The exhibition in Macau is the first of its kind, but we hope to have others on the same theme in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
